AIR THREADING TECHNOLOGY
The Airflow 3000 lives up to its name with its cutting-edge air threading technology. Threading the machine is effortless—just insert your thread into the threading port and press the button and the Airflow will use a blast of air to retrieve your thread to do the threading for you.
Automatic Needle Threader
The Airflow 3000 handles the lower threads with its innovative air threading system, while the automatic needle threader simplifies threading the upper two needles. Simply use the selector switch above the needle threader to choose which needle to thread, and let the machine take care of the rest.
Differential Feed Ratio Adjustment Dial
The Airflow 3000 features two sets of feed dogs under the presser foot, ensuring smooth fabric movement through the machine. Its differential feed system controls both the front and rear feed dogs, making it ideal for achieving custom finishes, like professional-grade lettuce edges, even on challenging materials. When the ratio is set to 1.0, both feed dogs move at the same speed. At less than 1.0, the front feed dogs move slower, stretching the fabric—perfect for lightweight materials prone to puckering. At greater than 1.0, the front feed dogs move faster, gathering the fabric for precise results. With a differential feed range of 0.7mm to 2.0mm, the Airflow delivers unmatched, professional-quality finishes that standard sewing machines simply can’t replicate.
Stitch Length Adjustment Dial
The stitch length is set to a standard 3 mm (1/8 inch), but you can easily adjust it using the dial on the machine’s right side. Choose a shorter stitch length down to 2 mm (5/64 inch) for detailed work or extend it to 4 mm (5/32 inch) for larger, more open stitching.
Stitch Width Adjustment Dial
The standard stitch width for a regular overlock stitch is set at 5 mm (13/64 inch). Adjusting the width is as easy as changing its length - just turn the stitch width adjustment dial. You can widen the stitch up to 7.5 mm (19/64 inch) or narrow it down to 5 mm (3/16 inch) to suit your project’s needs.
Presser Foot Lifting Lever
To lift the presser foot, move the presser foot lifting lever into the vertical position. This action opens the tension discs next to the thread tension dials, which will allow you to thread the machine. For even more clearance between the presser foot and the needle plate, push the lifting lever slightly further back while it’s in the vertical position.
Presser Foot Pressure Adjustment
Adjusting the presser foot pressure adjustment screw on the top left of the machine allows for sewing of curves and to prevent puckering. The Normal setting is 2 but can be adjusted for various types of different materials.
Thread Tension Dials
Each needle and looper thread has its own color-coded tension dial for easy identification: yellow for the left needle, green for the right needle, pink for the upper looper, and blue for the lower looper. Thread tension settings may need adjustment based on the fabric’s type and thickness, as well as the thread being used. As a general guideline, a setting of 4 works well in most situations. For heavier tension, adjust between 4 and 7; for medium tension, try 3 to 5; and for lighter tension, set it between 2 and 4.
Spool Holders and Telescoping Thread Guide
The Airflow is equipped with a telescoping thread guide that adjusts to fit spools of any size. Whether you’re working with large thread cones or standard spools, the Airflow handles both with ease.

Safety Sensors
The Airflow comes with built-in safety sensors. If the the presser foot is raised or the front cover is open, the machine will not start and the error LED light will turn on to let you know that a mistake was made.

Due to the Airflow's jet-air threading technology, internal fluff and lint build-up that could clog up the machine is kept to a minimum.
