What is Weft?
Often referred to as ‘filling’ yarns, weft yarns are the yarns, which run across the fabric’s width. Weft yarn literally fills up spaces and are comparably weaker to wrap yarns. Weft yarns can create a ‘give ’ across the distance across the fabric, for this reason it is important to take into consideration weft’s tendency to ‘give’ when positioning a pattern on fabric.
