What is a Blanket Stitch?

A blanket stitch is used to finish the edge of a fabric, or a blanket vest edge, buttonhole or even another type of seam-line. This stitch is usually created by hand, although it can be replicated by machine with the proper attachments or settings. This particular stitch is a very versatile stitch and is perfect for adding a ‘funky edge’ to a project, or a decorative stitch on garment.
