What is a Bar tack?
A Bar tack is a cluster of closely sewn stitches (zigzag stitches repeatedly gone over, back and forth) which is used to secure items such as a belt loop in place, the end of a buttonhole for additional reinforcement or in the point of a V to support stitches.
