What are Bootcut Jeans?


Blue jean terminology. Flares from knee downward so that one could wear boots underneath. Not as wide as bell bottom flare, though, as it is more subtle and utilitarian rather than decorative.

Bootcut is a term used to describe a specific type of jeans, which flare from the knees downward so the wearer can use boots underneath the pants. Bootcut does not have as wide a flare as bell-bottom jeans, as Bootcut jeans are more subtle and utilitarian than decorative.
